Guest Adriano Report post Posted August 30, 2005 I actually use Evolution for mail accounts and Thunderbird for news accounts. Evo gets too heavy to use with thousands of messages, so using it for both was uncomfortable. On the other hand, its threading and sorting are sane, and it keeps out of the way most of the times. jboy 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 I mostly use KMail although occasionally I use Evolution on a different distro. My email/news needs are very simple.
devries 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 I use Kontact but sice it isn't listed I voted for Kmail. :). I like an application that can do everything.
heather1113 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 I like KMail so I use that. It's simple, has all the features I need and was really easy to set up with f-prot and spamassasin. I especially like that it can run in the taskbar all the time and notify me when I have new mail. My needs are pretty basic.

Artificial Intelligence 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 Maestro here using Evolution himself :D As a gnome fanatic I find it a good choice, though I have thunderbird installed too. I might some day try Opera and its E-mail client.
JonEberger 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 thunderbird all the way. i just love everything bout it.
scarecrow 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 (edited) Thunderbird- although I have no real complaints about kmail. Evolution is very nice, but I'm not a gnomer, and Evolution is not so much better than kmail or Thunderbird to make me switch... Crashdamage 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 Mutt for email, slrn for news. GUI email or news clients are just too slow and clumsy, sorry. But I do use Thunderbird for email at work on Win2kPro.

Reiver_Fluffi 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2005 Thunderbird, Â Used it on Windows since the beginning, serves my needs well, can't see any reason to change!
tyme 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2005 ex-evolution user, switched to kmail when i started using KDE
multios 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2005 Evolution here :) I used kmail for a long time but with so much html email with graphics within the text, evolution became the logical choice. I have Thunderbird on several distros but for me the filters, graphics, and contacts(addresses) were easier to setup and view with evolution. It works well with kde so I stick with it instead of changing to thunderbird.
