The best thing to do would be to fill out the Feature Request form here: http://www.macromedia.com/support/email/wishform/ and have other Linux users do the same. The engineers view the wishlist regularly and would consider porting the player to Linux if enough users request for it. We hoped this has helped. liquidzoo
I did too. I think this is something that needs to be ported to Linux. Let's see if we can get enough people to make a difference here.
scoopy
mmmm, would this be a feature request, or a bug (cause it don't work for us)? Can someone do a sample on how we can fill this out to get better results from them ( for us illiterate ones) ?
Steve Scrimpshire
I say it's a bug ;) but I'm sure it would be a feature request for them. I sent a request in.

null
thanks for the link, illogic-al It has been buggin' me for awhile that shockwave doesn't work when I'm on my linux box. My son likes to play some games on miniclip.com (they use shockwave) and all he gets is a blank screen when he goes there while in linux. I also sent in the feature request / bug report. Pepse
Been there and did that, too. If I get time I'll check out the JustLinux board and see about posting this info/link there. Hey we gotta cover all possible bases in the Linux world in order for MacroMedia to get enough submissions to hopefully port Shockwave for our Linux boxes. Later. Pepse. Pzatch
I asked then to have it out for christmas since its all my son wants. He's 7 and likes the games. Really it is. Well that and a motor cycle. But I didn't think they would send him a yamaha.
