I had no idea either! I just saw it available and so downloaded it. Updated with updates of 4.5mb with all repos enabled :P
Sorry, Ian, my joke was a bit too subtle.

 

Ubuntu's naming convention comes from the year and the month of release. So 6.10 (Edgy Eft) was released in October 2006 (year 6, month 10). Feisty Fawn is 7.04 because it came out in April 2007. When the next version does eventually come out ("Gutsy Gibbon") it will be called 7.10 and is scheduled for release in October 2007.

Ah OK, I wondered how they did the versioning. Makes sense now!

 

Only a month behind anyhow. Was having probs on my laptop, hence I changed, again!!!

Pale as in light/non-alcohol?
LOL...not, not at all. A Pale Ale is just a type of beer, the Pale has nothing to do with the alcohol content, but rather the use of pale malts (gives it a lighter color).

Actually, the correct question is, is there any discussion that isn't improved by the mention of beer?
