Yes, you need to extract this first using ark or if you can't do it in Linux, you'll need to extract in Windows, and then copy the file across to the Linux system.

 

Within this exe will be the files you need to use, including the .inf file for installing with ndiswrapper.

OK, try this to find it:

 

whereis ndiswrapper

 

if that fails, try this:

 

updatedb
slocate ndiswrapper

 

are you sure the make and make install worked OK? These should normally be picked up if this is the case.

Keep following the commands on the document link for ndiswrapper. This has all the info you need to get it installed and active.

 

Have you ran ndiswrapper -l to make sure it listed it OK, as per the document. The document explains it, and saves me having to copy it all in part by part as I'm not using wireless at present, but have it configured on my machine at home.

 

The document lists diagnostic steps so you can see if it's working etc, and other commands you need to follow to finish the ndiswrapper installation.
