ianw1974
Your remaining commands are: ndiswrapper -m depmod -a modprobe ndiswrapper iwconfig iwlist wlan0 scan and there are a few more options, but this needs info from your wireless access point. The document is much better to follow, and post back if you have problems.

ianw1974
For DVD's just use kaffeine, but make sure libdvdcss is installed. Easy, use: urpmi libdvdcss and you should be set. Hope the ndiswrapper works out nice and easy shortly.

ianw1974
From what I remember, I'm sure I've used it. Totem is the default in gnome I believe.

ianw1974
I use KDE, but I'll check in gnome now to see if it works. I lack a DVD here at work, so may have to check when I get home and see what happens. Once you've got your network working, check to see if there are any updates for your system and apply all of them. It could be this that's a problem. Qchem
you could try gmplayer (probably part of the mplayer rpm) for playing dvd's. Not sure if it supports menus though.

ianw1974
It's not muted by any chance is it? Sounds silly I know, just in case you've not checked it.
