ianw1974
Yes, you need to extract this first using ark or if you can't do it in Linux, you'll need to extract in Windows, and then copy the file across to the Linux system. Within this exe will be the files you need to use, including the .inf file for installing with ndiswrapper.

ianw1974
If you're in KDE, click System/Archiving/Compression and it'll be in here.

ianw1974
OK, it should be similar or perhaps called file-roller.
luke9511
its not there,i went to see if i could install it and it said something like "bad or missing signature"
ianw1974
Sometimes you can get these signature errors. You can install using the force option, example: urpmi file-roller --force to get around this little problem.

ianw1974
Keep following the commands on the document link for ndiswrapper. This has all the info you need to get it installed and active. Have you ran ndiswrapper -l to make sure it listed it OK, as per the document. The document explains it, and saves me having to copy it all in part by part as I'm not using wireless at present, but have it configured on my machine at home. The document lists diagnostic steps so you can see if it's working etc, and other commands you need to follow to finish the ndiswrapper installation. luke9511
here you go [root@localhost trey]# ndiswrapper -l Installed drivers: bcmwl5 driver installed, hardware present
ianw1974
Yep, that's cool, keep working through the ndiswrapper guide, as there is a little more to do to configure the system and get it working.
