yeah. I use Kaudiocreator, ripping to ogg. (It *can* rip to mp3, but why? ;) )

I just built a music CD for my son, after his sister tried 3 times on her WinXP box. All the tracks from #4 on were screwed by her system. I ripped with Kaudiocreator, then made the CD with K3B, and everything was perfect! :D

Not a bug, it's a feature. These program uses cdparanoia to rip the cds. As with the name, cdparanoia checks and rechecks the rip so that the result is very very good. If you disable paranoia, I think the ripping speed would be faster.

Kaudiocreator. But you should really start ripping to ogg. It's so much better :D

Or even better rip in flac.

When you buy a new car you should make sure the stero can play ogg. If everyone should do that the world would be a better place :D.

Anyway, Gowater is right. You need to install Kaudiocreator to rip and Lame to let Kaudiocreator rip to mp3.

Good luck
