  13. I just got thru reinstalling gentoo. I've had no problems with sound in the past. But this time when trying to use mplayer I got the following message: Sound server informational message: Error while initializing the sound driver: device /dev/dsp can't be opened (Device or resource busy) The sound server will continue, using the null output device.Sound server informational message: Error while initializing the sound driver: device /dev/dsp can't be opened (Device or resource busy) The sound server will continue, using the null output device. I tested sound in the kcontrol center and it works fine. Any suggestions?

  21. Here's a link to the FAQ iphitus is talking about. http://www.mandrakeusers.org/index.php?showtopic=10615 It's very well written and easy to understand. Good luck with your installation!
  22. I'd go with 9.2 and wait for 10 Final. 10 CE is still pretty buggy for me. I never had probs with 9.2.
  23. I took one from my icon theme and replaced the menuk-mdk.png. I replaced it for both the 32x32 and 48x48 sizes. I also went into the kde control panel and changed the blue color around the .png. The pngs are located in usr/share/icons/crystalsvg/48x48/apps and 32x32/apps.
