  2. You can also get some pretty cool software from the club as a member. But the forum sucks ass there.
  3. You'll like it. Cough up the coins!!
  4. somewhere in the kde config app there is an option for display mounted drives. if you right click on the desktop and go to properties it is an option in one of the menus. Is that enabled or disabled?
  5. It may just be that you got a bad download. Have you tried downloading the rpm's again? I know its a pain in the ass, but it can happen.
  6. I recently installed Yellowdog Linux on my apple at work. I have a one button mouse connected to this thing. currently, the F11 key emulates a right click. Does anyone know how to change that from F11 to something else? say... >ctrl< >leftmouseclick< ?
  7. Vermyndax...that avatar is just disturbing... Back on topic, thanks for the heads up. I think I'll put those keys to good use now!
  8. Got any links that would help me to do this? I know I'd have to but a power pack first.

  11. once we see your config file we can make a better judgement.
  12. if it were me...and I'm normally a little off, I'd do like this: / - 1GB SWAP -700MB /usr - 8GB /var - 5GB /home - 14.5GB /tmp - 500MB My drive is a 100GB as it broken up as follows: / - 3.8 GB 2.5% used /usr - 7.9GB 24.3% used /var - 6.8 GB 35.8% used /opt - 9.8GB 24.1& used /home - 5.2GB 3.5% used /stuff - 59.4 GB 60% used /VMS - 9.8 GB 10% used /tmp - 1.9 GB 1.8% used Granted, thats not efficiency at it finest, but it works for me!
  13. I'll have to ask my co-worker how he pulled that off. I'll ask when he gets in today
  14. check out what happens when you make xmatrix your desktop!!
  15. firewall router would be the perfect way to breath life into that thing!

    Steering Wheel

I see what you mean about the weak google results... It did seem that the Thrustmaster wheel would work, but don't quote me. Even the Linux hardware compatability list doesn't have it listed. sorry I haven't really been more helpful.
  18. Not that linux won't be 100%, but its always better to be 100% yourself, and leave it up to your system.
  19. I second this one. Just fight through it, check back here, get used to using the shit ou tof google. You'll find a lot of people willing to go the extra mile here to help, just ask away? O and use the search feature here. There's a wealth of knowledge, and more often than not, someones had your problem before.
  20. cool. thanks for the inout and links. I'll check into both and see what works best for me.
  21. Can anyone help me figure out what I need to make these two boxen talk to each other?
  22. Do you notice any speed increases using XFS for your media files over other filesystems?
