This might answer a lot of questions from people who are migrating from Windows. It should actually be a FAQ, if the author consents to it.

Another great Link given to me by Linux_learner, This I think is by far one of the best one, this allows you to actually try out commands like cd , ls -l etc while you are learning on the screen the only thing that I have to say it to try it out it's the ultimate for the new guy.
