have you tried to boot the kernel with the option "noacpi" ?

I have a GF4ti4200 in xerama at home and a GF2mx in xinerama at work. You do not need any other card than your 5200 ! Just plug the other monitor on your card, install nvidia drivers and modify you XF86config-4 Performance in 2d is very good (video overlay on the 2 screens) For 3d it's a lot of pixel for the card to handle, and games are not adapted to ultrawide screens, so you just have to cycle to your next setup in XF86 with one single monitor. Look at the doc/examples that comes with nvidia proprietary drivers. ps: at home i have 2 sceens in xinerama + tvout ! 3 displays on one GF4 card.

tyme, i didn't meant to publicly spread the torrent. I was just thinking that a silver member could privatly give mdk10.0amd64 to gowator, and in exchange he would write a review on the web for the information of all of us, and a little publicity for mandrakesoft. It works by default with the kde screensaver "launch new session". I submitted a bug report for this before the 10.0 launch, please vote for it. I think it should be a directive by freedesktop

Will this make it possible to have 3d effect on the windows ? What about vector graphics ? I thought that a long term goal of desktop environments were to become full vector scalable.

i updated. it lost my XF86Config-4 file. I just put it back and all works fine.

supermount is depreciated. It's been replaced in 10.0 by a new way of automounting stuff. Can't remeber the name, lokk for yourself. By the way, there is a 2.6.7 compiled in cooker.

i use a sblive without troubles. first be sure to use alsa in kde settings. then try to disable recording in kmix advanced.

i would be interesed in benchmarking RAID. Basic question is : is it usefull to go for a RAID 0 setup for improved performance ? What differences in perf between a software raid and a hardware one ? Also gowator, i would like you to make a default install of mdk10.0 32 bits and 64 bits (in the same partition on the same disk) and to benchmark the difference (boot time, kernel compilation, glx gears, openoffice launch...)

Yep i have cmr 2, 3, 4 and a microsoft force feedback whell.(i don't like the software, but they sometimes make good hardware) I have just finished expert. Not so diifficult, except the "enhancement" (tires, suspension...) ans japan. Starting to play groupe B. Ford rs2000 seems easier than the 205 (poor motricity?)
