I have authentication issues when I try to connect from kontact to the kolab servers. I want to connect to the Kolab server and test the sharing of contacts and calendars. The problem is that I created the users on the kolab, and create the distribution list, however I havent been able to actually use it. This is a test servers so I can give out most of the config if you need it.

I have the same issues, the problem is that I can't seem to mount to the windows server unless I use cifs command. I wonder how can I include this under printdrake. Any suggestion?

I use quanta, is pretty good specially the CSS editor. I am more confortable when I write very code intensive processes like unordered lists. Also save times when making forms.

I have a similar problem but mostly with mysql, the issue is that that some authentication package (PAM I thnk) will block something in MySQL making it not run. I will suggest if you can check if your mysql server is running and working correctly. Another thing might be a permission issue and print the ls -l /var/www/html/admin/

I thnk that python-lirc is just some modules for python, so when you program you can put on your code: import lirc and you will be able to call the functions to work with the IR devices. My question here would be to see if this package is a requirement of another application, and then you can get to use it. I am a gnome user but for the moment I am triying KDE on the other machine, I found that skype has issues when running in KDE. Also it seems kde uses kde-sound libraries and that block ALSA or OSS. I can't listen to xmms, flash and other sound devices based there.

I want to know if there's a tutorial on installing and seting up postfix on my mandrake server. I have Kolab2 running and I tried to install the mail server from the MCC wizards. However I am a bit lost on the configuration parameters. One thing is that I am not sure what to assign on $myhostname $mydomain and origin. Also there is authentication as HELO and EHLO. And a masquared option. Some of this make sense to me but not all, I wonder for example if the $myhostname is a variable that I need to keep it there and just focus on the first option. But if that's true, then why would they give me the option to change it??? This is the first time I setup an email server so please bare with me. If there is just too much information out there, then I wonder if you can help me just get to the simple tutorials.

I'm new to Kolab and rying to install kolab 2 server. The server it self is runing. I configured two Kmail (Kontact) clients - on the server and on my machine. But I have several problems: 1. Then trying to submit calendar event from remote client, it says, that "No writable resource was found, saving will not be possible. Reconfigure KMail first.". I can submit the same calendar events from the client, which runs on kolab machine (localhost). I found explanation about this problem in http://www.kolab.org/pipermail/kolab-devel...rch/003223.html, but it doesnot help me, since I cannot make it work. 2. I cannot send emails vie Kolab server from remote machines. It works from the client on the kolab machine. Kmail gives me error "Authorization failed, An error occured during authentication: SASL(-4): no mechanism available: No worthy mechs found authentication not supported". But i don't know where to find the solution. 3. I can see calendar events submited from client on the Kolab machine, but Kmail cannot display the: "To view this object you will need an email client that can understand the Kolab Groupware format." I have mandriva 2005 LE version with KDE 3.4.1 (Club edition). 4. Does Kolab support general calendars, like calendar for meeting room booking, or compny car booking. Server and clients runs on the 10.2 Mandriva with KDE 3.4.1. I'm strugling with these problems couple weeks already.

hi I need help with regular expressions, I currently have a csv with names like this "Mr Joan XYZ" y have parsed the list so is "Mr", "Joan XYZ". What I need is a regular expression so it takes the space before Character so it can work as "Mr", "Joan", "XYZ"

I want to know if there any free software to recover data from a filesystem ext3, it seems either the partition table got broken or something similar. The HD is like this: hda1 hda5 /swap hda6 hda7 hda8 hda9 I can mount hda1 but I can't surf in it. I cant get in any folder or inside the files. hda6/9 are not working, at all. I want to do e2fsck.ext3 but it replied that the folder was empty. I am running out of options, can someone here tell me how can I get this data back?

I use web applications for my personal desktop use. However when I tried to change mandriva 2006 I format my root partition and then I realized that I have delete everything on my /var/www/html. I dont wan't to happen that again and I want to move my DocumentRoot to a remote harddrive. So I want to know how can I do this. I want to change the httpd_conf however I haven't had any success. Can anyone give me an advice on how to set up my web apps on my home. I also went through the mcc and chose the apache server configuration but didn't have much luck around that. Because I choose to use public_html but I still couldnt publish my thing.

It seems there was a change on the way SSHd is implemented on their recent verision and I can't open it correctly for favirous reasons. I can't also start MySQLd because it ask for authentication. It says somehting aobut being handle by PAM however is the first time I see this and I need to reconfigure sshd but it doesn't give much detais as to how to re-configure it.

It seems the new version of openssh-server shipped with mandriva contains some changes, changes that doesn't allow me to start the service. I wonder if anyone can help me to set up. I didn't install it from scratch which means that my home have the specs of the older sshd, I wonder if I should change something in order to start it. For example, I cant do, service sshd start and when I installed the openssh-server it said that some configuration needed to be done. Unfortunately I dont have that specification and I wonder if anyone has somehting similar.

Usually when I go to top I get a huge list that escape the screen, I usually get arround this by using u and naming the user running the processes I want. However I havent been able to sort the processes alphabetically for example. Is there a way to do this in Top or should I look for alternatives.

Hi unfortuantely you didn't answer my question, I never ask how can I change it, but how can I safely change it. Putting that in hosts have caused problems ini the past for example the apache httpd stop working once I restart. I went through the apache configuration and solve it even thought it did it with some warnings about having DHCP setup.
