  1. I don't see the browser front /back button options inside acme. did i miss something ?
  2. I tried earlier, didn't work for me. I have finished loading 10.1 OE on my laptop, let me try with that.
  3. I tried to setup the 2 extra keys on my thinkpad for going back and forth during browser, and finally gave up :( It didn't work out for me.
  4. Has anyone got proper hibernation working ? If yes a step by step guide would be real nice.
  5. It says thats for pheonix notebios laptops, whereas mine is a thinkpad r50. Also how will the system recognise the hibernation file ?
  6. Ok this is strange now. I tried to work with Skype and it seemed to work without any problems now. Didn't have to do a thing, hahahaha
  7. Thx, i will work on it rite away. Will post results.
  8. Sorry never saw this message earlier. Anyways what i got running was from a clean 10.1 CE. It like 10.0 Official recognised the wireless and showed ipw2100 module, however i could never got it running in 10.0. When i got 10.1 CE, a clean install and fiddling around with the wireless (nothing much, just that the wireless won't come up on boot up automatically and stuff) i got it running. Though i have a very strange problem, when i shutdown the laptop, the wireless is still ON I have to keep the power button pressed in order to shut it down. I can't figure how to shutdown wireless on shutdown.
  9. Any ideas on getting hibernate working on 10.1 CE on Thinkpad R50 ? I tried the above modules also, smapi, thinkpad, nothing works. Sleep works, however the moon light on the thinkpad is on when the laptop is put in sleep mode, does it still consume too much power ? It doesn't happen under XP (i know i sound stupid comparing with XP)
  10. Mandrake 10.1 CE Can't get to run skype, says sound problems. Any clues ? [split from this thread by spinynorman]
  11. Where do i get it from ? Thx for being a life saver :) Edit: Ok i found Acme, http://www.devin.com/acme/. however i get an error while compiling checking for libgnomeui-2.0 libglade-2.0 libwnck-1.0 >= 2.1.5... Package libgnomeui-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libgnomeui-2.0.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'libgnomeui-2.0' found configure: error: Library requirements (libgnomeui-2.0 libglade-2.0 libwnck-1.0 >= 2.1.5) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them. And i have complete gnome already installed, any clues on what i am missing here ?
  12. I have a r50 as well. I did a scratch install on 10.1 CE and the wireless worked out of the box. It used ipw2100 driver though.

ok i installed lineak using urpmi. But when i run klineakconfig and lineakconfig, i got seg faults. :( I manually ran lineak -l and choose 2-3 types of keyboards, restarted X, still the keys don't work in my browser.
  14. Well its really nice. I was struggling with 10.0 Official on my R50 Thinkpad, then thought about giving 10.1 CE a try and voila! my wireless worked out in single shot. Things are running better. Infact i am almost on verge to trash the winxp on the other partition and make mandrake 10.1 CE the only os on this laptop ( I still can't get to run the 2 extra keys i have on my laptop to work for back/ front during browsing.) Overall everything looks cool
