ramfree17 Posted April 27, 2007 Report Share Posted April 27, 2007 i would like to have the drakjoy for configuring joysticks/gamepads. i have a generic usb gamepad that i still couldn't make to work in linux. i can get input from it since it produces garbage in a console when i press something but i couldnt make it integrate with the game emulators. caveat: i havent played anything for more than a year and havent touched the gamepad for more than 2 so things might be different now. :) ciao! Windows has let me and the rest of us down time and time again. I didn't want XP but I had to have it in the end and now I don't want Vista and I'm determined not to have it. This distro nearly everything i need (once i learn how to install programs but hey I am a newbie) is some music producing software. apbsa Posted May 4, 2007 Report Share Posted May 4, 2007 Try installing mixx or lmms. I can't say I know how to use them (not a dj) but they look quite capable and they are available for 2007.1. I'm not sure if they are available for 2007. I love Mandriva too, it is the best linux IMHO, a good combination of ease of use and sophistication.
