i would like to have the drakjoy for configuring joysticks/gamepads. i have a generic usb gamepad that i still couldn't make to work in linux. i can get input from it since it produces garbage in a console when i press something but i couldnt make it integrate with the game emulators.

caveat: i havent played anything for more than a year and havent touched the gamepad for more than 2 so things might be different now. :)

ciao!

Hi everyone can I just say a quick off the topic but I love this OS. Its what i have been looking for all my life. Windows has let me and the rest of us down time and time again. I didn't want XP but I had to have it in the end and now I don't want Vista and I'm determined not to have it. This distro nearly everything i need (once i learn how to install programs but hey I am a newbie) is some music producing software. It would be really cool if it could run Reason and CuBase and then I think i would ditch Windows altogether!!!

Long live Mandriva!!!

and on and on it goes . . . , there is a lot of stuff around to help producing music in Linux, have a search around, you may find something you like.

[Edit] Sorry for off topic, I get a little exited sometimes :)

Try installing mixx or lmms. I can't say I know how to use them (not a dj) but they look quite capable and they are available for 2007.1. I'm not sure if they are available for 2007.

I love Mandriva too, it is the best linux IMHO, a good combination of ease of use and sophistication.
