I found it...inf $ICON THEME/36x36/apps :unsure: ...it's called the gnome-spinner now typical gnome-devel People complain about the toolbar being ugly with pixmap themes because we can't theme the throbber and what do they do? Stick it in the icon themes and continue to leave themers hands tied. ..anyone know how to specify which one is used from a gtkrc?

the star is in /usr/share/pixmaps/mdk I remove the floppy by commenting it out of fstab. The trash can be removed by doing this from commandline gconftool-2 --type=boolean --set /apps/nautilus/desktop/trash_icon_visible 0 put it back with gconftool-2 --type=boolean --set /apps/nautilus/desktop/trash_icon_visible 1 or do it gui by running gconf-editor and going to apps/nautilus/desktop

I used it for 2 years without any problems, and never noticed any speed issues either. What are they smoking? I use ext3 now though, simply because I use PM8 for partition management and bkup.

after you mount your partitions under /mnt, you have to issue the command; chroot /mnt then; cd /etc and you should see lilo.conf

First, why not install with urpmi ndiswrapper If you need to compile then install make urpmi make

After doing any modifications to the Grub config ( /boot/grub/menu.lst ) you do NOT have to re-run grub to apply them (you may say big deal, but factly when using LILO I had forgot to run /sbin/lilo at least three times after altering the settings, resulting all three times to boot failure!). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it's a big deal because rewriting the mbr everytime a change is needed is why lilo isn't near as stable as grub and sooner or later, not if - but when, lilo borks things. That's my experience and I know others have never had probs with lilo. That's fine, but it has never been good to me.

correct...I should have said 9x must be installed 1st partition>master. When I got a new hd (master), win98se became the first on the slave and still booted with the map command in grub, but for the sake of keeping it simple, 98%+ do not care to deal with or learn how to do something like that. Point is, you can't install it that way, and who is going to install then rearrange the config, when it's completely unnecesssary. If I remember correctly, the ntloader will not boot a 9x from anywhere but 1st>master........but this is off topic since we are talking about win2k. I do not know how to do it in lilo...I use grub, only.

win95 and 98 have to be in the 1st partition on the the master, but NT (I think), win2k and xp do not even have to be on the master post your lilo.conf
