Lexicon
How to convert AMR files to WAV or MP3 format, OGG? use ffmpeg, mencoder etc ....Lex
Greg2
You can install the amrnb, amrwb, and the sox packages from the PLF repos and use the cli to convert to wav files. Or you can download the mmc-lin.tar.gz from here: MobileMediaConverter Then extract it to your ~/home directory, cd MobileMediaConverter, then do ./MobileMediaConverter, then convert your AMR files to 'almost' anything you want... OGGs work great for me.

scarecrow
I think you need mplayer/mencoder compiled with AMR support to do that. Have no idea if the PLF version has AMR support, though... my self-compiled mplayer has AMR and vdpau support, and no GTK gui.
Lexicon
Mplayer, mencoder, ffmpeg I have a server with PLF. I will not compile, it can give improved versions. How not to wait for the MDV 2010. APODIO does it well

Lexicon
After installing Mandriva 2010 everything works very nicely. Once you have installed Mplayer and Mencoder programs. Thank you for your advice
