      Mandriva Official Documentation

Official documentation for extant versions of Mandriva can be found at doc.mandriva.com.   Documentation for the latest release may take some time to appear there. You can install all the manuals from the main repository if you have Mandriva installed - files are prefixed mandriva-doc.

      Forum software upgrade   10/29/17

So you may have noticed the forum software has upgraded !!!
A few things that have changed. We no longer have community blogs (was never really used) We no longer have a portal page.
We can discuss this, and decide whether it is needed (It costs money) See this thread: Here

You can install the amrnb, amrwb, and the sox packages from the PLF repos and use the cli to convert to wav files. Or you can download the mmc-lin.tar.gz from here: MobileMediaConverter

Then extract it to your ~/home directory, cd MobileMediaConverter, then do ./MobileMediaConverter, then convert your AMR files to 'almost' anything you want... OGGs work great for me.

I think you need mplayer/mencoder compiled with AMR support to do that. Have no idea if the PLF version has AMR support, though... my self-compiled mplayer has AMR and vdpau support, and no GTK gui.

Mplayer, mencoder, ffmpeg I have a server with PLF. I will not compile, it can give improved versions. How not to wait for the MDV 2010. APODIO does it well

AMR [removed] is freeware to play AMR audio files, and can convert AMR with MP3/WAV audio format.

After installing Mandriva 2010 everything works very nicely. Once you have installed Mplayer and Mencoder programs. Thank you for your advice
