derxen
To follow-up myself: because Bastille does not support mandrake9.1. I'm using firestarter now, and setting it up was very easy. derxen
phazeman
Just wanted to tell you all... there is GREAT and VERY easy to configure firewall available here... ipkungfu it's name... No gui though... BUT ! the configuration is stored under /etc/ipkungfu and all you have to do there - edit 1 single config file (ipkungfu.conf) and tell it what ports you want to be open and what is your internet interface. Then just run ipkungfu and from now on - you are all secured. It support internet sharing, port redirection and all other firewall feautures normal firewall user needs. Want to stop it - service ipkungfu stop !! If anyone interested - http://www.linuxkungfu.org. Phazeman

Guest LB06
I'm very happy with shorewall. Easy and secure. I've also used Bastille. Wasn't it the default firewall in MDK8.1? It was also very secure, but less easy to configure without the MDK-tool. btw. Sorry for my terrible English
Ronin
For a seperate dedicated box (which is how we should be doing it anyhow) :) IPCop wins hands down no contest. On the mdk box I'd have to go with kmyfirewall, it was the easiest/most intutive of the ones I tried outl
