iphitus
Are you in a LUG (linux user group). Not Mandrakeusers. Me? I just joined one! :D James
aRTee
I was thinking about it. But then, to what end? So why did you join? Also, I don't speak the local language (swiss german) well enough yet..
mtweidmann
I went to my local one a couple of times and was on the mail list for a while. But they seemed to talk about high networking stuff which I know nothing about, and don't really want to know anything about. (edit) Grr can't spell! iphitus
Me I joined because I thought it might be interesting. It didn't cost anything. Every month they have a meeting, and a few speakers, i've looked at the old ones and they seemed interesting. They have a mailing list too. Besides, it doesn't hurt joining. static
I answered yes despite not having gone yet. The OCLUG here in Ottawa had Alan Cox speak last summer at their "Linux in the wild" outdoor bar-b-que and I meant to go this year's last week but only remembered it around 8pm (damn!) so I'm going for sure to next month's meeting. SoulSe
There is one in my city, the PLUG (Pretoria LUG), but they seem to be dorks... very incestuous. So I decided I would be fine on my own... and with you all.
sud_crow
Hey, well, im actually a member of two!.- www.cafelug.org.ar and www.gupos.com.ar and i thinks its pretty cool to be a member of a LUG, its like this forum, but with ppl.. yeah i know you --including me-- dont like live interaction, but hey! we are humans after all. Also, a couple of weeks ago there was a Open Source Jornades (i dont know if thats the correct translation, but well) and Miguel de Icaza came to talk.. it was pretty good... heather1113
If there were a lug in my city(Green Bay) I would love to go but sadly the closest one is about 2 hours away. I can't even seem to find anyone in the whole city that uses Linux, not that I know everyone. Oh well.

3lade
Cheers, had a quick look through and the closest one I guess would be Cambridge. Bit of a long way to drive but I will see what they have to say.
