And IIRC the desklet is called FTB, you can get it here if your distro doesn't package it (this is the only place I could find the source for this desklet).

going by this I'm just using 2007.0 default from installation. It's the only distro I could get installed on my laptop, because all of them were failing to boot with busybox problems (Ubuntu 7.04, Fedora 7 to name some). And none of the supposed solutions out there worked for my machine.

 

My machine boots from power on to being logged in, in just over a minute.

You oughta remove the part of that script "Security features" as it refers to SELinux (this part doesn't actually pick a variable up, it just echo's some text.)

 

P.s. Fedora 8 is out today, might be worth a try ;)

dude67, what them you using in Gnome? Love the dark look.

The shiny black metal/plastic looks very nice, don't you think! I especially like the menus (you cannot see them in this screenshot though).

 

The theme is called OrangeLinstaBlackPlastic. It's in Gnome-look.org. It goes very well with a dark or quite black background image.

It looks great. The only decent dark theme I had was PolyCarbonate Dark. But the newly one available doesn't give window borders, but was lucky I kept the old one. Gonna download this one you got now and check it out
