Ixthusdan
I never flash a board from inside of windows or Linux. I just build a bootable cd with the flash program and correct .bin file on it. Any os that will boot the mchine to a run state will work. I started doing this a few of years ago when I trashed a board with a flash from a junk floppy drive. (It cost me $30 to get a new bios chip) I do not trust floppies anymore.
