Reiver_Fluffi
Just thought I would share the pics of the new fedora core 6 desktop, boot screen etc! http://people.redhat.com/dfong/fc6graphics/ I might actually keep the default desktop this time round...... JonEberger
those are really sharp. the chromosome-type graphics with the infinity symbols really appeal to me.

arctic
On the one hand, the quality of the pics is very good. On the other hand, it has a bit of a dark, morbid touch to me. As if some ghouls would be lurking nearby. Don't know if I like or dislike the look.
AussieJohn
Talk about downright sombre. Is that really supposed to inspire and help you enjoy working at your computer. It makes me feel depressed no matter how sharp and artistic it is.   Cheers. John.
Artificial Intelligence
Looks very cool, but I'm also morbid :D :P Will there be Icon and GTK/meta theme to go with it?

Don't think so, AFAIK they are sticking with clearlooks theme for icons/GTK/metacity. they are implementing a new font called Dejavu Edited September 11, 2006 by Reiver_Fluffi
arctic
Fedora is creating some new icons for its release. And it will ship with Clearlooks as default GTK/Metacity combo. Here is a link for icon preview: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Artwork/EchoDevelopment

SoulSe
The design concept is cool, I'm just not crazy about the way it's been done. Looks like a rough draft that needs cleaning up and stuff. Also, it's not something that all users would like, which, imho, is what a default theme should be... simple and appealing to as many users as possible. Which brings a point, why focus on one?
ianw1974
They are dark yes, maybe a little brighter might help. But I like them a lot.
Artificial Intelligence
Well, I like (as I stated before), but I can't imagine the icons to fit with it though. I did expected to see something else.
