Trio3b
Dual boot Wxp and MDK 10.0 on Plll with onboard USB v1.1 . Lexar USB jumpdrive works fine in XP but locks up PC in MDK 10.0. This jumpdrive works OK with MDK 10.0 on different PC USB controller on-board is Intel 810 chipset with UHCI controller. I thought linux 2.6.x used USB 2.0 which should be compatible with v1.1. I checked BIOS settings, there don't seem to be any related to this problem. Any ideas? Thanks Edited August 13, 2005 by Trio3b
scarecrow
No probs when hooking my Samsung pendrive on an external USB 1.1 hub... What's the output of your "modprobe usb_storage" (in a root console)? Check again your BIOS settings, if something like "USB legacy" and "PnP OS" is enabled then disable them. Trio3b
OK, decided to insert flashdrive before boot. Hdwr config utility found it.....added it to fstab, all seems well, although boot screen displays following message: line 6 in fstab is bad otherwise OK
