flightcrank Posted March 13, 2005 Author Share Posted March 13, 2005 well i got them to install which is good. i see the nvidia logo, then it boots into my kde desktop, as soon as this happens i get a corupted image on the screen, image is "garbled" and no displayed corectly, then it freezes. i change my xfree86 file back to "nv" insted of nivida and my desktop works fine again, i would like to play games :) but im outta ideas on how to get this to work Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

devries Posted March 14, 2005 Share Posted March 14, 2005 For the kde freeze: Open /usr/bin/startkde with your favorite text editor, go to the line that says: # the splashscreen and progress indicator ksplash --nodcop and comment it out (#). I've had a few lockups with 10.2rc1(2.6.11), but only when I've hot-plugged/unplugged my webcam.
