aRTee
Now I hope people understand why 3.3 wasn't the default KDE on 10.1....
kde-head
10.1 looks like it's moved to X.org , rather than XFree Besides the licensing hoo-haa , are there any other benefits technically for moving to X.org?

Next version (6.8) which should be included in Mdk 10.2 includes new functions, like the much talked about translucy of windows...
kde-head
http://freedesktop.org/bin/view/XOrg/Home#...1R6_8_1_Release In response to demand of users and application developers, X.Org's X11R6.8 brings forward widely anticipated fundamental facilities through this release. They include the first X Window System support for: Translucent windows Window animation, window decorations like shadows Support for accessibility applications Support for 3D immersive user environments like=20 Looking Glass(1) and Croquet Support for large scale display walls using DMX(3) These new facilities, some of which are still considered experimental, and so not enabled by default, have been under development for several years. Once completed and deployed, they will enable X Window System desktop projects, such as Gnome and KDE, to greatly extend their visual user interface vocabulary while still ensuring uncompromised support for existing applications, even surpassing current state of the art in competing window systems. Artificial Intelligence
cordless keyboards doesn't work with kde 3.3 rpms is one big bug (for me that is) But that could be because the kde 3.3 rpms are conflicting with eachother. Also some minor bugs like missing text and icons, some of the application doesn't work. But again it could be the confliction issue. What do you mean by missing text an icons... is that inside apps or on the desktop? I have a feeling this is just mandrakes packaging of the RPM's thats in error and if it is installed from source t will work... ?? Back when texstar made lots of KDE RPM's they were always better and more reliable than the MDK ones
Artificial Intelligence
It's was the packaging I was reffering to when saying conflicting :), sorry I'll try to be more specific anotther time :) I'm running 10.1 new installation, totally clean. Running kde 3.2.3 my keyboard works perfect, no problem But when I did the kde 3.3 install my keyboard blew. Also tried with clean install with only gnome on my computer and then downloading the rpms to see if it made any diffrence, but no. Also tried from source but getting errors (made a post it's somewhere at consol, coding forum). Edit: here it is http://mandrakeusers.org/index.php?showtopic=18993 .:=The AI Dude=:.
