FX
Totally removed XP and loaded Linux all to itself on here. ( My laptop ). I still have a dual boot going on my gaming machine and on the wifes pc. Kind of curious I can hold out with only linux on here. Anyone guess the distro I choosed? Those of you in #musb that know, cannot say anything. FX
Gowator
Hmmm best thing I ever did, it forced me to fix those niggles... which distro seems as much to do with the PC (esp with laptops) I run deb based ones on mine becuase something in the RH/MDK ones doesnt like them! Also laptops probably should get played with less... at least mine is :D
DragonMage
Some laptops (like toshiba non-legacy ones) must have windows in order to access the bios. Without the bios access, you cannot boot into the cdrom. Although I really want to have a laptop that doesn't have any windows partition . armondf
I've been running Mdk 10 official on my compaq nx9010 for some time now. Only thing I struggled with was finding a modem driver for the built in modem. Everything else worked out of the box (installed off cd with expert no-auto option). pretty kewl. FX
Well even though I whined about Fedora screwing up my dual boot I fixed that by running it alone on here. This is me laptop that I use, and it works pretty good with Linux. The wireless you can get up and going with madwifi or linuxant drivers. http://hardwarecentral.dealtime.com/xPF-To...ellite_Notebook FX
