durvish
I keep getting this when trying to open a file in KDE in super user mode. KDEInit could not launch 'kwrite' I can't seem to find why! Any clues?
bvc
we'll need a lot more info than that  :D -launch whatever from konsole and pot the output -versions would be nice as well
finlay
Don't know why exactly but here's the solution: as root do xhost + localhost To make it permanent, make a script which runs xhost + localhost and put it in ~/.kde/Autostart A kind person in Mandrake Club told me this. Why localhost isn't already in the hosts list beats me.
finlay
So, did that help? If it did, an acknowledgement would be nice.
durvish
Sorry I didn't get back to you finlay. I hosed my system while playing around a bit ! I'm in the process of customizing SuSE on the laptop and will have to wait a bit on fixing Mandy.
