Ixthusdan
Mandrake is currently reorganizing the servers and repopulating the folders for the retail release of 10.0. Give it a few days to staighten out. Unfortunately, if you downloaded updates containg gnome 2.6, you are running the new cooker, which is 10.1, unstable!!! chris z
2 ways to unlock the rpm data base.......... easiest method...........reboot! B) almost as easy method.......... in terminal as root, type ps -aux, hit enter, then kill any processes associated with urpmi, rpmdrake, curl, etc. as for the error you're getting.......... have you tried removing the source completely, then re-adding it, or another source? if not, try that. sometimes a source's hdlist will get corrupted & that's the easiest way to fix it. to remove the source, go to MCC->software media manager. then, highlight the source you want to get rid of, click remove, let it do it's thing, then click save. then go back to the same place, click add, choose update source, pick a mirror, click save. jdion81
Mandrake is currently reorganizing the servers and repopulating the folders for the retail release of 10.0. Could this be why I get: [root@localhost jason]# urpmi kacpi ...retrieving failed: curl failed: exited with 9 or signal 0 Installation failed, some files are missing: ftp://carrol.cac.psu.edu/pub/linux/distributions/mandrake-devel/contrib-stable/1586/kacpi-0.6.3-0.rc7.2mdk.i586.rpm You may want to update your urpmi database ftp://carrol.cac.psu.edu/pub/linux/distributions/mandrake-devel/contrib-stable/1586/kacpi-0.6.3-0.rc7.2mdk.i586.rpm ...retrieving failed: curl: (9) Couldn't cd to mandrake-devel [root@localhost jason]# I have also tried with the --wget option at the end and get similar results: ...retrieving failed: wget failed: exited with 1 or signal 0 Installation failed, some files are missing:
jdion81
guess so, a simple browse of their ftp server shows that mandrak-devel is non-existant it should be ftp://carroll.cac.psu.edu/pub/linux/distr...inux/devel/10.0 just a fyi
