look around on http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/ , I'll search some ready to use distro's :P

It created the iso without problems, its burning it now, it's very basic, but I hope it boots, I'll tell you about it(or present it in another topic :P )

a format may help you? I guess it clears the mbr too, but wait with that, maybe somebody else has a better advice

Welcome aboard you have pressed alt + F1 or alt + F4 , which choises do you have then? you have checked md5 sums of the cd's or did you installed mandrake with the same cd's before? Have you changed something in your hardware lately?

I had the same problem, but Kmix fixes the sound at the same point, every reboot, so it's too silent for my boxes, if that's not the problem, then I agree with no0tic

so nobody has experience with it ?

don't know if it works, but can't you work with sessions? ctrl alt F* key don't know if the alt tab works, with games, with normal programs it just works fine

windows has nothing to do with linux :) so you're sure you don't have inside firewall that blocks the ports? not even your modem? aah can you post the server info log? cause I thought there was another sort of log, where you have more detailed information, don't know for sure...

hmm do you have a router? or a firewall who blocks the ports? 4662 TCP & 4672 UDP Cause I think Amule gives you a low id & you need a high Idea for most servers & downloads. Normally you should be able to connect to emule server no2 I think, don't know it sure & not advisable cause you still have low id
