  1. Ok I was just wondering how as I forgot how I did it back on ubuntu, I guess ill try kdebase first then task-kde. Thanks ffi and arctic
  2. Ok when I ran ubuntu awhile ago I had it where I could choose to start up KDE or Gnome from session manager at login prompt. Is it possible to add KDE to mandriva install like that as well?
  3. Does it not come with 3.5.6 already installed in it? What's new since Mandriva Linux 2007 Major desktop components KDE 3.5.6 * GNOME 2.18 * I mean I use Gnome so i'm not sure but what are these for if it says it has 3.5.6 already?
  4. Well I just tried out 2007.0 KDE on diff pc and it had it, and that screenshot of KDE for 2007.1 has it so im pretty sure it would exist. Are you sure you got a good install or are not missing it?
  5. Yup I was going to say CTRL+ALT+ARROW, but then again i've used nothing but Gnome so I had no idea there was another way :P
  6. I didn't get this thankfully.... Thanks for heads up tho
  7. Nah its just crashing but I enjoy gthumb way more. Thanks for info for reporting but I also have over 45 gigs left on 60 gig HDD on laptop so it should be fine. Ran fine in 2007.0 for me but not in 2007.1, Thanks again though everyone.
  8. Thats what I was referring too. In 2007.0 it does not work and always says up to date with green check mark. The newly updated update system now turns red when packages are ready for install!
  9. I noticed that for some reason if I open any pics with F-SPOT photo viewer for gnome pc crashes and goes back to login screen... Has anyone else seen this and where would I go about reporting this bug? Note: I installed 2 times and on each install it does it?!?! EDIT : Well im still wondering where I can report it but if anyone else hits it just use another program atm to view photos, I urpmi'd this: urpmi gthumb - Install and done. Go to pic. right click it and set to open with gthumb and works great. [moved from Software - arctic]
  10. Indeed im not using KDE as I dont favor it much but I think the new button looked nice.
  11. Indeed... Very happy about that
  12. Mandriva Online 2.16-1mdv2007.1 The mandriva online thing in top right corner (GNOME DESKTOP) inside little circle.... It never worked in mandriva 2007.0 and always said up to date on me but the one in 2007.1 Spring turns red and tells me there are packages waiting to be installed!
  13. Up to you. I'm running 32 bit and a few probs I had in 2007 arent in 2007.1 so its worth the install in my opinion and the update feature actually works now and alerts you when there are packages you can download. So its wonderful.
  14. I just installed RC3 as I heard it was very stable and must say im very pleased! Gnome 2.18 is great and the latest kernel enterprise works great and detects all ram and everything. Thumb's up to Mandriva on this release! Im so happy!
  15. Yeah I noticed this somewhat... Crazy
  16. Haha what a coincidence I just got done reading by that... lol
  17. Microsoft probably paid symantec to make that statement... lol
  18. Well are you using KDE? Cause if you are I dont know. It comes standard on gnome.
  19. Yeah but final release of mandriva spring will prob be month tops so ill just deck it out till then unless someone contributes a link to it if there is one, but im good.
  20. I searched as well but couldnt find anything... I mean it rarely happens but whatever im sure itll prob be fixed in Mandriva Spring when final release is out ill just wait and see. Thanks anyways.
  21. Nvm i appologize found a similar thread now... But it just states there may be a bug fix... does anyone know for sure if there is a bugfix for nautilus 100% use?
  22. Ive been using mandriva for awhile now. Gnome version. 2007.0 but recently nautilus gets stuck using 80-100% of CPU and runs the processor at full on resource montior. Is there a reason its getting stuck?
