  1. Is there a problem with xorg and ATI Radeon drivers? I just cant get your xorg based on cvs-20051127 to work with my radeon.
  2. I did update udev to the final version off 2006 but didnt help much....I think is udev because after i plugin my usb stick there is some kernel logging in syslog you know "waiting for device to seetle down.....", and a few seconds later there is some udev logging with "()exec failed:No such file or directory..." and the mount point isnt created... Note:I have another box with same distro version Mdk 2005LE with this udev version and works very nice. I also did check the udev .conf files on both machines and compared them....but to me they are identical....so i cant figure out whats going on...any clues? P.S:My usb bluetooth adapter works fine, though. Cheers...
  3. I have a similar problem in 2005LE....I believe is a udev problem but i havent had a bit of time to understand whats going on....So if when i have an answer i will post it here... Cheers....
  4. Sounds like a udev problem.....I had a similar problem in mdv 2005 and the only way to resolved it was to upgrade udev from mdv2006 rpms.... Cheers....
  5. Well the solution is very simple: mknod /dev/null c 1 3 Simple isnt it... Cheers.....
  6. Does anyone knows how to make a new /dev/null? It prevents sshd and other software from working without /dev/null.... I am afraid to reboot the box since it could not boot properly..... OS:Mandriva 2005 LE with udev from 2006 Thanks....for any help Cheers....
  7. You must configure shorewall...just edit the configurations files with a command line editor or run a konsole and type su [enter] enter your root password [enter] type konqueror in the command line a konqueror window will popup goto /etc/shorewall now i must edit some files namely: interfaces zones rules policy please read the comments on that files...after you read it u can configure those files to check if those files are fine in a matter of sintax,is advised to run the shorewall check command as root in a konsole,if everything is ok you can issue a service shorewall start Hope it helped...
