  1. I've done all off that, but still no scanner. On host i say share scanner with http://111.111.1.100 On client i say use scanner on http://111.111.1.101 Could it be because its a all-in-one. Willie

  4. On my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo1310 is W-lan (Ralink RT2500) and is regonized by Mandriva 2006. But is doesn't work, he can't get a ESSID because there is a button to activated W-lan. With windows it works perfectly but with Linux i can't get the button activated. Is there anyone who get it working. Willie
  5. The all-in-one works out of the box on my laptop, my son have a pentium 2 on 233 mhz. Both have w-lan, the all-in-one is regonized and he can print over the w-lan only scanning doesn't work. He can't find a scanner. I searched manual and give as port the same as the printer http://111.111.1.111:631/printers/HPPSC1400
  6. Use K3b and go to the KDE configurationcenter/system/K3BSetup run it as root and you can burn dvd - cd as a user without a problem

    Try to install the "gnutella" network and connect to the that network. Disable OpenFt. I don't use OpenFt because of that reason. Willie
  9. I have a HPPSC1410 on my IBM notebook scanner, printer works out of the box, on the P2 of my son the printer part works also with IPP (http://localhost:631:printers/hppsc1400). But he can't find the scanner. Is this possiblyand how. WIllie
  10. Instead of Samba you can use IPP. On the laptop choose added new printer, for the port use not usb ore parallel but http://ip-adress of mandrivacomp:631/printers/printername Willie
  11. Solved In /etc/security/console.perms was a line "<misc>=/dev/nvram and another line: # permission definitions <console> 0400 <misc> 0600 root changed that into: <console> 0660 <misc> 0660 root,nvram and it works Willie

  13. No it did'nt work. Owner = willie, permisions: read only Group = root, permisions: none I don't understand this, if i do chmod 660 /dev/nvram it's oke. Restart the comp everything is like above Willie

  16. I didas root: #kwrite /etc/rc.d/rc.local and put de line "chmod 666 /dev/nvram" as last line in rc.local, restart my comp and nothing happend. Nvram is still read-only Willie
  17. I have a IBM R31 notebook and wan't to use the thinkpad buttons for sound. Nvram is installed in /dev but i have only read only permissions, so i do in the console #chmod 666 /dev/nvram and the permissions are read/write and it works well. I end my session en again login and the permissions of Nvram are back to read only. Is there a way to make it permanent. Willie
  18. It's solved i installed Mandriva 2006 with the option "linux noauto" and it installed fine. So i'm at work working with Mandriva 2006 Willie
  19. The cd are oke, i can install it on al my laptops ibm and toschiba. 2006 is still not for public download. Specs of the laptop: Fujitsu Amilo L-1310G Chipset: Ati RC410MB+SB400 Video ATI Radeon xpress 200m igp That's all i can find for now i'm at work. Willie
  20. Finally i got a Fujitsu Amilo L-1310G Laptop from work and i began to install Mandriva 2005LE on the harddisk, stops the install on searh for pcmcia and that's it. Is there a bootoption so he wan't search for pcmcia. Willie

  22. I had the same with my trackpoint of my IBM R31 with Suse en Mandriva 2005 LE. With Mandriva 10.0 everything worked fine. It has todo with KLaptop, since dat is removed it is working fine. Willie

I had the same problem but that is solved, i putt the line ircomm-tty in /etc/modprobe.preload. modprobe.preload hw_random intel-agp videodev ov511 ircomm-tty So i put videodev also in modprobe.preload but no video1 in /dev What can i do to get video1 in /dev Willie
