highking
Hi, I've tried to install Kerio Mailserver on MDK9.1, but when I type this: urpmi *.rpm in the directory where the rpm's are placed, I get the following error: Installatie mislukt: libcrypto.so.2 is nodig voor kerio-mailserver-admin-5.7.2-rh7 libssl.so.2 is nodig voor kerio-mailserver-admin-5.7.2-rh7 libstdc++.so.2.8 is nodig voor kerio-mailserver-mcafee-5.7.2-rh7 (Note that "Installatie mislukt" is dutch for "Installation Failed".) But, OpenSSL and LibOpenSSL are installed! :( Could anyone tell me what to do? (maybe it's just not possible, the software is for RH7 and RH8, not for MDK.) /update: I've downloaded the one without McAfee, but still need the libssl.so.2, only don't need the libstdc++.so.2.8 anymore. kmack
Here's a good link that might help you. LINK-- Click HERE I think there is a good chance you can install this program, but the key is knowing if the library versions needed are available for your version of mandrake. Some file locations maybe a bit different too. I'm sure some more experienced people will have ideas to help, but this might give you a start in the right direction. Hope so! Good luck! Kerio mailserver looks nice! EDIT: another thing that might help is try # urpmi --test -v *.rpm as it will test the install and give you a bit more feedback on the problem. If it says "Install is possible" then run it again without the --test part. Edited October 30, 2003 by kmack
highking
I'll try that. In the meantime I've found that I can install the mailserver itself without any problems, and that I can administer the thing using a Windows admin util. ( I know, it's bad :P )
kmack
Hey if you can make it work until you get a better solution... do it and don't feel bad! :) I would check the version of Open SSL because they have had several updates lately. This might mean the new lib files are not the version the installer is expecting so it is giving you the error. Just a hunch, but check which versions are required versus what you have installed. Steve Scrimpshire
I think libopenssl-devel is what you are going to need: libopenssl0.9.7-devel
kmack
I have company coming and don't have enough time to really search this out. But more convinced it is a version issue. CLICK HERE for list of libssl.so.2 packages... Hope someone can help you better than I am able. Steve's idea is a good one, but I don't think any of the mandrake packages use this lib file from a quick look. Hopefully, I just missed it though. Good luck!
