So which version should be installed then. Seems a curious versioning system to me

3.5.2 - is last stable version of Firefox

3.0.x - is old branch of Firefox, 3.0.13 is mainly bugfix release of 3.0

Installing Firefox 3.5.2 is recommended....

I think we'll get 3.0.13 with automatic update.

I dont think so. I have Firefox 3.5.1 now (updated via automatic update for a few weeks ago) , so Firefox 3.5.2 will be in official repository very soon I think.

I don't think so... unless you're using cooker and/or cooker repos.

Well I gave 3.5 a spin, but could not get to like it somehow. Don't know what but it is different. Anyway did an update and got 3.0.12 and it feels much better especially with the KDE looks. :)

Firefox 3.5.X is MUCH faster, quite stable, and using less resources.

Having KDE looks at your GTK+ apps is as easy as installing either qtcurve-KDE4 and qtcurve-gtk and using that theme, or alternatively using gtk-qt-engine.

There's no"best" solution here- Ubuntu and mandriva use qtcurve, SuSE uses gtk-qt... you can just pick the one that looks best to you.

There is also a rather nice and quite congigurable oxygen icon theme for GTK, named "hydroxygen".

My throbber doesn't with this version.

On later versions of Firefox, 3.5 and up, the activity indicator is not shown on the top toolbar. This can be fixed by right clicking on the toolbar, and selecting customize. Once you are in the Customize Toolbar window, just drag the activity indicator to where ever you want it.

rpm for Firefox 3.5.2 wrongly depends on the old version of xulrunner namely 1.9.1.1

The correct version is 1.9.1.2

Please be carefull.

For users: please install the new version of xulrunner to make firefox work.

P.S. Similar problem was with perl yesterday...

Guys one have to test rpms before they go out...
