The problem is that not all people will take time to go out and write their own letters to Microsoft to ask for the settlement claim, or even know such procedure exists. While Lindows is trying to take advantage of this issue, what has Microsoft done to advertise the "right"/proper way for previous Windows users to secure their benefit thru the settlement claim? Does Microsoft want you to get your benefit approved by the Court?

The funny thing is M$ has generated even more publicity for this!

 

I agree, most people would be unaware and most of those not have the time.

M$ could have let time slip by and a few would see the website.

 

Sending a desist notification makes it headlinenews...Were talking about it NOW....
