ffi Posted January 17, 2008 Report Share Posted January 17, 2008 (edited) you need to install the gtk-qt engine then an option to change the gtk theme under kde will show up in the kde control center, you can then choose to use either gtk-qt or any installed gtk theme without the need of any gnome stuff installed my guess is that there have been some changes in glib which affect gtk-qt engine causing some themes to look crappy in some gtk apps, the change happened for me in both gutsy and mdv2008.0 ps try deleting the .gtk related files in your home directory to get the gtk theme to change, sometimes they seem to get corrupted...... Then you need to add it to .kde/Autostart, simply by doing this: cd ~/.kde/Autostart ln -s /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon and then each time you restart KDE it will be loaded. yup that did it, I wasnt sure as I know packaging varies Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
