ofri
Check all have the 00 under them... "Caller ID" and "Off Hook" have 00 above them. Master and PCM do not. have you heard any clicks from the computer at all? not since i installed linux. the computer came preloaded with windows vista, and i think it had sounds then. just to check do run alsaconf when i open the run dialog and type in alsaconf, i get: Could not run the specified command maybe i didn't understand what you asked me to do... have you got all the updates? what are the relevant updates? when i finished the OS installation (yesterday) i installed a lot of updates. how can i make sure i have the right ones need for my sound card? Mhn
when i open the run dialog and type in alsaconf, i get: Could not run the specified commandmaybe i didn't understand what you asked me to do... You have to be root the run that command, therefore: Open a terminal ("Konsole") type su <enter>, enter your root password <enter> and then run alsaconf.
