KMPlayer controls [solved]

On 2005, I used to watch movies with Kaffeine, and had handy shortcuts to skip backwards and forwards - the cursor arrows left/right, or clicking with the mouse on the progress bar. Now with 2007.1 I'm using KMPlayer (because Kaffeine playback was too choppy, and KMPlayer was much smoother) but I miss these navigation commands - the only ones I can see are play, pause and stop.

Is there a way to skip back/forward with KMPlayer? The cursor keys do nothing, I can't find menu options, or toolbar buttons, and when I click on the progress bar the only effect is to jump back a second or so, nothing like where I clicked. Grabbing and dragging the progress bar works but it's fiddly for fine control.

Actually you have to click on the movie before using the keys. I don't know why it must be a bug in kmplayer cause in plain mplayer it just works. The keys are:

left\right = 10 seconds forward\back

up\down = 1 minute

PageUp\PageDown = 10 minutes

and it works much better than it worked in Kaffeine. At least for me.

Thanks guys, changing the "Play with" to MPlayer did the trick, now I can not only jump backwards and forwards but also speed up / slow down etc etc. Much better.

Kind of a hidden option though, makes you wonder why the default is Xine which doesn't appear to offer any navigation at all!
