Firefox/mozilla security problem

After upgrading to the latest version of Firefix, I now get the following error when starting Firefox and Epiphany:

"Could not initialize the browsers security components. The most likely cause is problems with files in your browser's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions..."

.mozilla in my /home directory has read write access for my account and my group's account.

Sounds very similar to a problem I had with Thunderbird recently (see here). That also appeared directly after a firefox update. Whether it was Mandriva's QA or Mozilla's/Firefox's I don't know, but the problem was fixed a couple of days later with a further firefox update.
