Which way of firewalling will fit in this case??

I've got a server with two NICs. One to DSL, the other to the intranet.

 

Because the intranet-NIC shouldn't be firewalled, i can'T use the original MAndrake security settings. They are blocking THE MACHINE, independend on what i am configuring (firewall on eth0, eth1, ppp0...).

 

I need a firewall, that explicitly blocks ONE NIC, not the whole machine!!

I saw that .iso several times, since LM8.0, but what is it exactly?

Just a reduced distro for firewalling??

That would lead in adding another machine for that and i do have only place for ONE, so that's my pitty...

This one MUST do ALL serverdaemons, i need, including firewall!

SNF is a dedicated MDK distro for a firewall. I prefer one like IPCop but the principle is the same. A dedicated box running a stripped down linux distro configured as a firewall.

then you could try e-smith ... that's what I use for my clients with exactly your problem

I looked at e-smith.org.

 

If i am right, this is a complete Distro based on RedHat?

 

Or do i have to extract the firewall from this distro, because it's my solution??

If you are running 9.0, see if there is a Server manual on your desktop under documentation. If you can't find it, or if you are running 8.2, then get it here: http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/fdoc.php3 . You should be able to find a Mandrake solution for your requirements.
