Guest SDMF
Hopefully all of it...kdebase took me about 2 to 3 hours on a 600 celeron 192MB, 7200 Maxtor HD. I believe about 8hrs. for all kde...just a gues though.....these where source tarballs for kde-3.1.0. Ugh. This is why I use fluxbox :P Less than a min to compile, lightweight... bvc
uh...and flux has no apps, so the apps you do use aren't optomized for your sys (fast wm/slow apps)
MottS
Tips: Be patient .. it took me about 1 days to compile the whole thing  MottS, can you tell me what kind of hardware do you use to compile KDE? Is the one day compiling everything or just kdebase? The time it takes makes me appreciate people like Texstar who makes RPMs even for big stuff like KDE. Yes I compiled the WHOLE thing.. even kdegames. I have a Duron 1300 (an Athlon XP with less cache) and I use some optimization key with gcc so that kde is fully optimized for my system. But again, there is no big difference between 3.1 and 3.1.1 so don't compile it!! .. no need. I just wanted to see but knowing that the difference is so small I would NOT have compile it.
