setting up a network

im back on linux for those who would remember me in this forum :). just want to know how i would add my linux pc to my windows network which is already setup and configured. cant figure out what im supposed to use to set it up. got mandriva 07 connect with cable modem. need any more info on it lemme know :)

If you want to share files and folders on your Linux PC, you need to install and configure samba.

You can share printers straightaway though, no samba is required.

For accessing files, folders and printers in windoze machines you do not need the full samba package, only "smbclient" installed is enough. After installing it, just open your konqueror and type in the addy bar:

smb:/

and voila, all windows shares in front of you.
