joaopa
Mandriva 2007 dones not accept french accents. Here is a screenshot of konqueror? One can see squares instead é or ? . It is annoying when one tries ti change directories in the command line (can't type squares ) Anyone has got an idea how to solve this issue? Thanks in advance... arctic
Hve you installed all necessary language libraries? I can see folders with accents in their name perfectly on my 2007 systems.
joaopa
Do you know how to be sure that all the localization packages are installed? Joaopa
arctic
Check it e.g. with the MCC, using the "installed packages" tool. Check if the i18n, aspell and myspell packages that you might need are installed.
yochenhsieh
Check if locales-fr and kde-i18n-fr are installed. btw, how did you install 2007? CD, DVD, or One? Problems like that usually won't happen if you selected your language during installation.
