Kodak C360 [solved]

This is what gets added to my /etc/fstab when I connect my camera. Maybe you can try this to see if it makes a difference for yours:

/dev/sda1 /mnt/removable vfat pamconsole,exec,noauto,noatime,codepage=850,iocharset=iso8859-15,managed 0 0

hope that helps some. My camera uses smart cards, but you may wish to change vfat to auto if yours isn't in this format.

I've tried that to make a mountpoint but i see no drive (it's a PTP camera). He can't work as mass storage only as PTP.

As far as i can tell he needs a module which he can't find (uhci_hcd i believe)

I think the only thing to do is put the SD card in a card reader.

It's a shame it has to come to a card reader to get it to work. I've no idea what else to suggest to be honest. Mine seems to work like a bog standard card reader, but then my camera is about 4 years old now or so.

Maybe the new ones are slightly different. I have thought about getting a card reader myself, purely because too much hassle connecting the camera, and it drains the battery :P

Again i search the internet, and i found the answer

It would seem that the camera pops up with a different address under /proc/bus/usb each time; gtkam is able to handle that change, but digikam is not.

an now the solution

It works, not in Digikam i still can't download the pictures from the camera. But in Konqi it works.

I open Konqueror and type "camera:/" and can download the pictures.

I've installed: libptp2, gphoto2 and libgphoto2.

Nice one

Glad you got it sorted, I feel like having a beer with you too :P

A shame digikam isn't working, maybe a later release sometime in the near future might prove fruitful for this. But at least you're able to get going with it now, that's the main thing!

The story goes on

If i start digikam from console and try to download the photo's i got the following error

 [willie@localhost ~]$ digikam
QMultiInputContext::changeInputMethod(): index=0, slave=xim
gp_port_write: Broken pipe
gp_port_write: Broken pipe

What does this mean
