phpmyadmin not working since I installed 2006

Since i installed Mandriva 2006, PHPMYADMIN DOES NOT WORK.

I TRIED TO UNINSTAL AND REINSTAL IT BUT IT STILL DO NOT WORK.

 

Any idea why ?

 

It worked fine before i upgraded to 2006.

Do you get anything by going to 127.0.0.1/admin/phpMyAdmin/ ? such as the login box ? or any error message ?

 

Do you get the apache test page at 127.0.0.1 ?

 

I am not familiar with anything Mandriva 2006 may have done... as I am still using Mandrake 10.1 ;)

apache is working fine, when i type 127.0.0.1 i have the apache test page wrking fime.

 

but when i type 127.0.0.1/admin/phpMyAdmin/ nothing happens, no error messsages, nothing at all.

try to check if you've installed apache-php module, and php-mysql

I have a similar problem but mostly with mysql, the issue is that that some authentication package (PAM I thnk) will block something in MySQL making it not run. I will suggest if you can check if your mysql server is running and working correctly.

 

Another thing might be a permission issue and print the ls -l /var/www/html/admin/

I try to paste the code in the console but it tell me commands not found.

i did it and i tried again to type :

But nothing appear yet there is a blank screen, on the browser, not even a error message .

then installed what ever php module that needed to be installed...

 

have you restart your apache server?

#apachectl restart

When i log in root and then i try again to type the link , it display the following message :

 

Object not found !

The requested url was not found on this server, if you entered teh url manually please check your spelling and try again.

i don't understnad because the folder var/www/htpm does not exist on my machine
