Guest txwylde
Tried to install NDISWRAPPER again. I made sure it was not running in the back ground. I first did this: ln -s /usr/src/linux-2.4.27-0.pre2.1mdk /lib/modules/2.6.8.1-12mdk/build I then ran make and get this: make -C driver make[1]: Entering directory `/home/txwylde/ndiswrapper-1.1/driver' Can't find kernel sources in /lib/modules/2.6.8.1-12mdk/build; give the path to kernel sources with KSRC=<path> argument to make make[1]: *** [prereq_check] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/txwylde/ndiswrapper-1.1/driver' make: *** [all] Error 2 [root@localhost ndiswrapper-1.1]# make install make -C driver install make[1]: Entering directory `/home/txwylde/ndiswrapper-1.1/driver' Can't find kernel sources in /lib/modules/2.6.8.1-12mdk/build; give the path to kernel sources with KSRC=<path> argument to make make[1]: *** [prereq_check] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/txwylde/ndiswrapper-1.1/driver' make: *** [install] Error 2 Any ideas? devries
Can't find kernel sources in /lib/modules/2.6.8.1-12mdk/build; Do urpmi kernel-source. And is there a reason why you would want to build ndiswrapper? Else do urpmi ndiswrapper.
Qchem
ln -s /usr/src/linux-2.4.27-0.pre2.1mdk /lib/modules/2.6.8.1-12mdk/build These kernel versions don't match (they aren't even the same series) - you need the kernel source for your currently running kernel!! Bdickson2000
Use 'urpmi kernel-source-2.6 and have CD3 handy. BD
Guest txwylde
I started over from scratch and got it to work. Once I complied everything and rebooted X, it worked like a champ.
