Second Taskbar / Workbar?

Hi,

I'd like to add a "workbar" or "second taskbar" if you will, for icons such as folders etc.. which are on my desktop. I've seen them before, but am not sure how to make one. It's just a standalone bar that holds icons, nothing else, and can be positioned at any edge of the desktop desired. I can't find an app with Super Karamba for it, nor anywhere else. Help? Thanks

:thanks:

do you mean something like THIS?

or, do you just want to add another Kicker bar? if so, i don't think that can be done, though i've never tried it. but, i don't see any options anywhere to do such a thing. you could try making a symlink to kicker in the $/.kde/autostart directory & see what happens.

You can add a "Child" panel.

Right click on the main panel and go to Add>Panel>Child (or some other type of panel there are several). The child panel can be set up how you want it (size, position, etc) from the KDE>LookNFeel>Panels

rt-click on the panel, go to the properties (for either panel there, you'll want to do it for both)

On the second tab (might be the first) there is a place for "Show hide button" (or something like that) and there should be 3 choices. Right, Left, or No. Choose No (or off, whichever it is) and click apply.

I'll try to post a screenshot of exactly what I mean later tonight.
