ttellefsen
Does anyone have a driver for compaq internet keyboards? I've googled and checked Linux-usb.org and cannot find one. This has been causing me intermittent crashes during start up
scoopy
I was thinking the crashes are more likely due to a USB problem and not with any of the special keys on this keyboard. Any special keys can be configured in XFree. There seems to be a few USB devices that aren't getting along with Mandrake. I myself have a USB CF card reader that seems to be one of these. I would just find an old keyboard someplace to use instead and save the headaches. http://reviewed.homelinux.org/howtos/xfree/keyboard/
ttellefsen
Yes, I agree, it does have something to do with USB. I really could care less about the extra keys. I just want to get it working. In USB view, it shows up red, which means it has no driver. The thing I don't understand is why it works sometimes and other times no usb stuff works. How can I have it save a certain setup or only use a specific driver once I figure out which ones work? Something is dynamically changing everytime I restart. Harddrake is off. If I turn it on, the system hangs at finding new hardware.
