arthurking Posted February 22, 2004 Report Share Posted February 22, 2004 If its not a 60098u model (which I think is USB only) get a ethernet card and cable and use this instead. USB (especially network devs/modems) don't work well under linux. Or windows too :unsure: Having said that my usb pen drive and webcam work well B) but the cable modem (motorola) would only work with ethernet. Sarissi Posted February 26, 2004 Report Share Posted February 26, 2004 If you can connect it via ethernet, do so. Mandrake handles THAT method extremely well. I have Roadrunner Cable and a Toshiba PCX-1100U. There is no support for it under USB (for Linux), so I went with ethernet and haven't had any problems since.
