kilimanjaro
Does anybody know how to change menus from a terminal? GUIs don't seem to be working for me.
jeanackle
Look for menushki. You can edit your menus for WindowMaker, KDE, GNOME, IceWM, BlackBox (works for FluxBox too) and Enlightenment. You can also use it to translate from one type of menu file to another. You'll have to know the location of the menu files though. EDIT: Here's the link: http://menushki.sourceforge.net/ Edited February 16, 2004 by jeanackle
Lord Kenneth
Does anybody know how to change menus from a terminal? GUIs don't seem to be working for me. Same here! Are you using cooker/10b2? They appear to be working on it or something, as I think an improvement was in the cooker but menudrake still does't work right! kilimanjaro
I am using 9.2, but iwas using 9.1 until about three days ago and I was have the same problem in both, I think one of the updates f*cks something up when you install it, I used 9.1 for 3 month and I change the menus a couple of time, and then I did an update and I have had problems ever since. scoopy
Have we tried anything drastic yet... like uninstalling menudrake-0.7.4-2mdk and reinstalling it ??? Wish I could offer better advice here, but I have run out of tricks up my sleeves. I do have some fitting emoticons for the occasion tho... kilimanjaro
Well that didn't change any thing, it sounded good though. I think I will try the menuski, unless some one has a better option. I am kind of amazed that a problem this significant could not have a definite fix. Andrewski
Yeah, it's been an issue with my computer since about 3 weeks after I upgraded to 9.2... heh.
kilimanjaro
jeanackle suggested menuski, but I haven't had enough time to do anything this week.
