Gracias!!"

babelfish translation:

Please, some translator for the following message: "I have a plate Aopen AK-77 8XN with chipset KT400, since I installed MDK 9,2 (and now cooker) from the moment at which I ignite the PC is put at any time in energy saving during a normal use, while I am even keying in, playing, which is, and pressing any key returns to its normal state, mainly happens at the beginning of igniting it, when they spend about 30 minutes (in which it can happen 3/5 times) no longer usually it happens until it returns to reinitiate the PC. some idea that it can be? Thanks "

I don't speak Spanish, but this is a plain English version of the translation...

"I have a Aopen AK-77 8XN board with chipset KT400. Since I installed MDK 9.2 (and now cooker), when I switch on the PC, it can go into power saving mode during normal use, even while I am keying in, playing games, whatever. Pressing any key returns it to normal. It mainly happens when I first switch on, for no more than about 30 minutes (when it can happen 3/5 times). Usually it happens until the PC is rebooted. Any idea what it can be? Thanks"

Apologies to any translators out there - you can deal with the replies... :cheeky:

Perhaps a mod could give this an English sub-title? 'KT400 power saving activates prematurely'? :unsure:

Check the bios setting for what does and does not activate the power saving features. In the meantime as root in a terminal this should turn ALL power saving features off.

xset s off s noblank dpms 0 0 0

Does it override bios? I d/k.

hdparm can also be used to turn the harddisk's power feature off.

Ok, tomorrow I will try it of the "xset", in the BIOS I have put everything relating to the power management in disabled, but some options I cannot put like disabled, as for example the way to using, "S1", "S3", ó " S1 & S3". I re-chek de bios settings.

If the "xset ..." works, Where I put this line in for it begins automatically in every computer start? In /etc/rc.d/rc.local ?

Very thank's and sorry again for the bad english.

Thank you for attempting to speak English, since we have poor Spanish skills. You speak English better than I speak Spanish.

If "xset ..." works, I would add it to /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc right before

exec /etc/X11/Xsession $*

as I believe it will not work in /etc/rc.d/rc.local because X is not running.

Im soooo sorry!!

I was in exams at the university...

Here is the post just in case something wasnt clear:

I have an A-Open AK-77 8XN with a KT400 chipset, since i installed MDK 9.2 ( and now cooker) when i turn the PC on, it goes to stand by (or energy saving mode) at anytime during normal use, even when im typing, playing or whatever, and i need to press a key to get it to the "normal state", this usually lasts 30 minutes (it happens several times in that period --3/5) and then stops doing it until i reset the PC, any ideas on why is this ??

Well, im sorry, but i said i did better the other way :)

The "xset ..." don't works :-(

I check the power saving bios features:

- ACPI Suspen Type: S1 (I have only three options: S1, S3 or S1&S3)

- Power Management: Hdd down-->Disabled, Doze Mode-->Disabled, Suspend Mode-->Disabled

- Video Off Option: Suspend-->Off

- Video Off Method: V/H Sync+Blank

- Run VGA Bios if S3 Resume: Auto

- Wake Up Events: All options in OFF

any idea? thx's again to all ;-)
